The process of becoming a volunteer

The steps to getting connected to a rewarding volunteer experience are simple.  If you are at least 55 years of age, all you need to do is

1.  Fill out an RSVP Volunteer Application.  At the top of this Volunteer Now page hit "click here to sign up" and you can simply fill in the fields of the online application and hit submit. Or, if you prefer, you can print a hard copy, fill it out and mail it to our main office in Story City.

2.  Come to an RSVP Volunteer Orientation.  This is where you will learn about RSVP and the benefits of becoming an RSVP volunteer.  You can also visit with RSVP staff about your preferences and learn what opportunities best fit your interests, skills, and schedule.  (See the News and Publication tab...scroll down to the Calendar of Events to see when the next RSVP Volunteer Orientation is scheduled).

3.  Let RSVP staff support you and get you plugged in to the best volunteer opportunity for you.

4.  Experience the rewards of sharing your time and talents to make a difference in the community and enjoy the benefit of ongoing support from RSVP staff.  Welcome!!
